Bit Guardian Parental Control is a user-friendly app, and setting it up takes only a few seconds. The app works on two distinct modes: Parent Mode and Child Mode.
The user needs to install the app on both parent’s and child’s devices.
A step-to-step guide to set up the Bit Guardian Parental Control in both the devices is described below.
For Parent’s device,
Step-1: Open Bit Guardian Parental Control App.
Step 2: Choose Parent Mode.
Step 3: Enter your name, email ID, and mobile number to create your account. Or directly login if you already have an account!
Note: Choose your membership period (1 month,6 months, or annual ) and select the payment method to subscribe.
Verify email address from the code sent to the email, or skip if you want to do that later.
Step 4: Create a Data Protection Password(DPP), which is different from the login password. Re-enter the same password to confirm it. Add a hint so that you can recall your password later on. Tap on Set Password.
Tip: Users should keep the Data Protection Password safe, as the app doesn’t keep it on the server. If one forgets the password, he has to create a new Data Protection Password.
(User can anytime reset the Data Protection Password from the parent’s profile)
Note: The purpose of the Data Protection Password is to protect the confidentiality of your kid’s digital data. All your kids’ data is encrypted and guarded by an encryption key known as the Data Protection Password or DPP (set by the parent).
Step 5: Want a copy of your DPP password to your email ID? Tap Mail Me.
Note: The app requires DND permission on the parent’s device to receive uninterrupted ring alerts under the panic alert feature.
Step 6: Your profile is successfully created. Now, you can add your kids to this device and monitor their activities remotely.
